Israel has a new Prime Minister, a new Foreign Minister, who is the Prime Minister’s political co-equal, and a hold-over Defense Minister. This is the core group within the decision-making cabinet, out of which strategic directives are to be expected. As always, Israeli defense and foreign policy is U.S.-centric, but special attention is given to Europe, both regarding bi-lateral relations with its various capitals and the continental frameworks; namely the European Union and the 28-strong membership of NATO along with North America.
