Washington, Tehran, Beirut, Jerusalem : A Tale of Four Decision Points

When the US and Israel set out on their campaign against the Islamic regime in Tehran, one of the stated war aims was to sever all Iranian connections to their regional proxies, with Hezbollah being the most prominent northern flank of the Galillee.

This has yet to be achieved, and in the meantime, Iran has secured from the Whitehouse a linkage with Lebanon, meaning that if President Trump wants to maintain a ceasefire, he is now committed to both fronts simultaneously, which will include instructing Netanyahu to refrain from striking Hezbollah targets in Beirut. Can this policy be sustained, as the fighting goes on in Southern Lebanon and IDF soldiers continue to fall prey to kamikaze drones?
