Since the two confrontations between Israel and Iran, including the infiltration of an Iranian drone into Israel and an Israeli strike on a Syrian air-base that housed Iranian military personnel; threats voiced by Jerusalem and Tehran of a possible escalation have elevated tensions between the two enemy-states.
