Houthis vs Saudis - and Who Else?

Saudi Arabia is the leading country on the west bank of the Persian Gulf, mainly due to its enormous oil reserves, wielding considerable power in the region and beyond. However, its energy and financial markets are predicated on stability, both current and projected.

The recent Houthi attacks on Saudi targets, which focused on airports but forms part of a broader campaign incorporating the Bab-el-Mandeb strait and the Red Sea coastal strip, seeks to threaten the ruling House of Saud with a war of attrition. This can be carried out by proxy forces, including the official Yemenite military, but likely not to a decisive end. What, then, are the prospects for the Saudi-Houthi conflict, and what is the prospective impact on Israel?
