MG (Ret.) David Tzur YAMAM Elite Unit Leader (part 2)

Universally known as Tzuri, David Tzur took part in raids as a Paratrooper, then joined the elite Border Patrol unit YAMAM, whose mandate started with hostage rescue and expanded to high-risk manhunts and captures of terrorists as well as armed and dangerous criminals.

Tzur commanded YAMAM and was decorated for bravery, later leading the entire Border Patrol - a Police organisation, but under military control in the West Bank - and commanding the Tel Aviv Police district. Tzur has served in various events world-wide, including the Atlanta and Athens Olympic Games, as a security and counter-terror consultant. Following his retirement as a Major-General, he was a member of Knesset.

They are the men and women who have stood guard over Israel. When their countrymen slept, these Watchmen could be counted on to fight for Israel and its capital, Jerusalem, on its numerous fronts. Now, one by one, they are coming to TV7’s Jerusalem studio for in-depth interviews by TV7 Analyst and Host Amir Oren, a veteran observer of the Israeli - and global - defense and government scenes.
