Emerging frictions between Iran and the West since the nuclear accord

In July of 2015 the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany reached a historic accord with Iran – an agreement that in effect limits the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program in return for international sanctions relief, which crippled Tehran’s economy that was under dire distress.

The move was perceived as an end to years of international isolation and the start of a new era in Iranian-Western relations. However, Tehran’s persistence in advancing its ballistic program – missiles that can carry nuclear war-heads - has raised new concerns on Iranian aspirations, as well as allegations on breaches of UN Security Council resolutions.

Guests Mr. Meir Javedanfar – Iranian expert - IDC Herzliyah; and Dr. Eldad Pardo, Iranian expert - Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Analyst: Mr. Amir Oren.
