US-Israel Cooperation to Ensure Iran Doesn’t Attain Nuclear Weapons
Both the US and Israel have been adamant for around the last fifteen years that the Islamic Republic of Iran will never acquire nuclear weapons. Successive American administrations have pledged to spare no effort in convincing Tehran that if diplomacy and pressures fail, the Iranian nuclear infrastructure will suffer a devastating military blow. Israel is clearly more sceptical - preferring destruction over deals - but President Trump has decided to give negotiations a chance. How do the governmental, military and intelligence agencies of Washington and Jerusalem cooperate in order to achieve their common goal, despite the divergence between their leaderships over means and prospects?
