The war-torn country of Yemen is seen my analysts as a territory of limited strategic value with some ability to threaten vital shipping lanes in the adjacent Red Sea. And while local groups are vehemently fighting for control over this impoverished territory - the conflict is not only an internal one – rather – it is part of a regional struggle factoring-in Iran, Saudi Arabia and even Turkey.
