Ten years ago, the so-called Arab Spring erupted in Tunisia and soon spread Eastword, challenging entrenched regimes and bringing new or naive hopes to suppressed populations. But nowhere have these hopes neen dashed more cruelly than in Syria, with millions killed, wounded, displaced or exiled, the Assad regime clinging to power by whatever means at its disposal and Russians, Iranians, Turks, Kurds and Israelis fighting for their interests in various regions of the war-torn country. What are the prospects for finally bringing peace, power sharing and stability to Syria?
