Islamist organizations have plagued the world, exercising terror on humanity in a bid to achieve radical goals aligned with their perceptions of the Muslim religion. As part of the region's fall into Chaos, dozens of organizations have exploited the instability that weakened regimes, conquering swathes of land in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and Egypt, among others.
