Just like the status of “threshold nuclear weapon state”, to which Iran evidently aspires before the final dash towards the weapon itself, there is apparently a new phenomenon in global diplomacy - a threshold nuclear agreement. With the essentially revoked JCPOA ever closer to a revival but not across the finish line, Iran is surely but slowly advances towards a worrisome capability in several dimensions.
This is of course a bargaining tactic, but as time goes by it has practical consequences, which we will attempt to dissect;
