The Khamenei regime in Tehran is surely taking stock these days, as much like everyone else around the globe it anxiously awaits the outcome of the Presidential and Congressional elections in the United States. On the positive side of the ledger, from its point of view, it did not concede defeat even under the most severe sanctions imposed on its economy in the American “maximum pressure”. Offsetting it, the Iranians are watching the emergence of an American-Israeli-Arab Gulf alliance against their militant outreach. So what is the score, at this time in the contest?
