The latest IAEA report on Iranian nuclear activities and their efforts to hide them from the scrutiny of international inspection includes one item of major concern, however dated the events described may be. It turns out that approximately 22 years ago, Iran’s Project AMAD included three nuclear implosion tests. They were recorded and documented in at least one place, the Atomic Archive in Tehran. This was raided by Mossad, with the contents revealed to the world, but naturally copies are kept elsewhere in Iran, no doubt ready for use should the scientists, engineers and military experts be authorized by their political superiors to make the dash for missiles and warheads. Just how dangerous is this development?
