Tension has risen on Israel’s northern frontier since an air-strike in the Syrian Quneitra region, attributed to Israel, killed some 12 people including six fighters of the Islamist Lebanese Hezbollah, as well as an Iranian general.
In what appeared to be a revenge attack, the Shi’ite Lebanese group, launched a missile offensive against an Israeli military convoy, which claimed the lives of two IDF soldiers. During the Israeli response to that incident, a Spanish peace keeper has lost his life.
