BG (Ret.) Dr. Ephraim Lapid. Part 1

Ex-IDF Spokesman Ephraim Lapid has spent decades on several sides of the quest for defense information. His early career brought him up the ladder of the Military Intelligence Corps, in collection and production assignments. He had senior positions in the Israel National Sigint Unit (8200) and headed the Open Source Unit.

Promoted Brigadier-General, he served as the Israel Defense Spokesman for some five tense years on the Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian fronts. Lapid later ran the semi-civilian IDF Radio, earned his PhD and served in several public and academic positions after retiring from the military. He is an authority on all branches of the Israel Intelligence Community - AMAN, Mossad, Shabak - and the media covering it.
