In the last year, with the anticipated departure of US President Barack Obama from the White House, the influence of Washington, which held an already weak foreign policy toward the chaotic Middle East in the eyes of regional and world powers, has significantly diminished.
This reality has brought about a shift in the dynamic of actors influencing the conflict in Syria, among other regional challenges, including Russia, Turkey and Iran.
