Israel’s Northern neighbor, Lebanon, is powerless in more than one sense. While foreign Iranian influence and deep economic distress rooted in political corruption threatens the once termed Switzerland of the Middle East with plausible disintegration – such a reality would inevitably pose a grave security-risk for Israel.
