Less than 50 years after the Shah fled Iran, it appears unlikely, although not impossible, that the successor regime will not be around to celebrate its Jubilee. It therefore seems prudent to consider the probable “day after” scenarios, in order that such considerations may also serve as valuable input to prior planning for the Ayatollah’s regime demise and the following aftermath.
