In resent days Israel has stepped up its preparations for various contingencies which may arise in the runup to or following an announcement as early as the beginning of July that Israel is formally asserting its sovereignty over parts of the west bank which includes the Jordan Valley and the biblical districts of Judea and Samaria, however growing threats of massive conflict and other retaliatory measures have been recently leveled at Jerusalem raising questions vis a vis Israel’s preparedness to contend with the potential consequences of a probable annexation.
