The most significant and immediate threat to Israel today, according to Israeli defense officials, the Iranian backed group in Lebanon Hezbollah, has in the past few years significantly increased its military capabilities and become a major force operating in the Middle East.
The internationally recognized terror organization which openly declares its aspirations of destroying its arch enemy, the state of Israel, is currently embroiled in the bloody war in Syria to support its ally, President Bashar Assad. It continues to implement a policy to armament that is designated for use in the next confrontation against Israel.
