The bloody conflict in Syria, which according to the United Nations has already claimed the lives of more than a quarter of a million peoples, showed a glimpse of hope in attempted UN-brokered peace summit held in Geneva aimed at starting a political process. That hope unfortunately quite quickly turned into a mirage which depicts the complexity of the situation.
