Egypt - fighting for its survival

With the ongoing battle against Islamic terrorism in the Sinai Peninsula, to the rising threat from Islamic State affiliated groups in neighboring countries, instability may-well-be an understatement for a country fighting for its survival.

Egypt’s strategic-value in a region which is in chaos, with ‘even more so’ in the world’s economy, has brought its current leader, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to pursue its so-called “lost honor” - of a country that not-so-long ago functioned as the leader of the Arab world.

Guests: Israel’s former Ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Zvi Mazel; and Senior Researcher International Institute for Counter Terrorism, the IDC Herzliya, Dr. Jonathan Fine. Analyst: Mati Shoshani.
