Israel's vision for regional peace, security and prosperity

When President Trump hosted the representatives of Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain at the White House last week for a ceremony hailing the normalization of relations between the two Gulf countries and Israel, American as well as Israeli officials saw it as a new paradigm in the Middle East. No longer, they said, are various Arab governments going to wait for the resolution of the Palestinian conflict with Israel, before they act according to their own interests and upgrade their de-facto ties with Jerusalem. UAE first, Bahrain second, soon maybe Oman, Sudan, or Saudi Arabia. A common Iranian threat and prospects of economic cooperation will work for regional stability, according to this view. Is this realistic, or merely another fata morgana?

Guests Dr. Joshua Krasna, Fellow at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security and lecturer on Mideast security at NYU, and Col. (Res.) Reuven Ben-Shalom, Cross-Cultural Strategist and Associate at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism, Herzliya. TV7 analyst Mr. Amir Oren. Host Jonathan Hessen.
