With the Islamic State losing most of its territory in Iraq, including Mosul: from where the extreme Muslim group declared its caliphate; as well as a strong push forward by US-backed SDF fighters in Raqqa, the group's de facto capital in Syria; we may ask ourselves:: how far is the international campaign in eradicating the Islamic State, and if the ideology would persist - endangering both regional and international stability.
