After a failed effort to establish a coalition, following the June Parliamentary election this year, Turkey’s citizens were called on to the polling station once again, to determine whether a new political reality would bring about a viable coalition.
That has indeed happened, when Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu’s AKP faction safeguarded a comfortable majority for a one-party coalition that will once again give the Islamic-rooted faction the reigns in Turkey’s leadership.
