The ongoing conflict in Syria, which according to the United Nations has claimed the lives of more than 220,000 peoples, has received a new turning point in recent weeks, as rebel groups fighting forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad, have achieved strategic victories.
The dynamic however, is still complicated, as even though the different elements in the Syrian war have a mutual goal in deposing the long-time dictator, their aspirations are far apart.
