International bid to restart the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations

Following the failure of the last bid, brokered by the United States, to advance in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, which collapsed in April of last year; new calls to re-start talks on ending the decade’s old conflict have been emerging from the International community – primarily from the European Union.

The current complex situation, however, in which the reality has not changed since the negotiations collapsed – but rather deteriorated - raises questions on the viability of such a bid.
